Eoghan Stack


Eoghan is passionate about supporting entrepreneurship. Having graduated as an Electrical Engineer from University College Cork in 1997, Eoghan began his career designing integrated circuits with one of Ireland’s most successful R&D teams in 3Com Technologies.

In 2005, Eoghan began working with one of Ireland’s leading entrepreneurs, Declan Ryan, in Ryan’s 10-year limited-life venture philanthropy fund, The One Foundation. As Director of Investment Impact, Eoghan worked with over 25 Irish and Vietnamese non-profit companies over the lifetime of the fund, leading in over 25 multi-million euro investments and working with senior management teams to improve company effectiveness to deliver significant social impact.

Eoghan joined DCU Ryan Academy in 2013 and now leads the organisation.

Niamh Collins


Niamh Collins is the Chief Operations Officer at the DCU Ryan Academy, with overall responsibility for programme coordination, delivery, event management and quality customer experience. Over the last two years, Niamh has also led the Academy’s first female entrepreneurship accelerator programme, Female High Fliers. Prior to joining the Academy in 2009, Niamh worked for IBEC where she spent 10 years as a Senior Executive in the Business Sectors Division, before joining Investnet, as Senior Events Manager.


Maura Jones


Maura is the DCU Ryan Academy’s Sales & Events Coordinator with responsibility for event organisation and delivery, venue hire and customer liaison. Maura is the first point of contact for everyone visiting or attending the Academy and ensures that everyone is given a warm welcome. Maura joined the Academy in 2012 after a successful career working in insurance compliance and underwriting.

Siobhan Kavanagh


Siobhan is the newest member of the DCU Ryan Academy team, joining as our financial coordinator. Siobhan has enjoyed an extensive career in the finance sector and brings a wealth of expertise to the role.

Shane Carter


Shane Carter, a student entrepreneur himself, is motivated to help startups grow. He combines his DCU Business Studies degree with his passion for technology and startups. He is a resource of information about the startup industry and is putting his skills to work by leading our DCU UStart student startup programme.


Dustin Howard


Dustin is responsible for running and supporting startup programmes at DCU Ryan Academy including the UStart and Female High Fliers. He is currently studying finance at Boston College and will be interning with us for the summer.  Dustin has experience of working in PandoLabs, a co-sharing / incubator space in Park City, Utah, supporting the early-stage tech startup community and linking them with local angel investors.
